Blake Bortles Reaches Deal With Rams To Backup Jared Goff

The Los Angeles Rams have reached an agreement with Blake Bortles on a one-year deal to serve as Jared Goff's backup.

Bortles was waived by the Jacksonville Jaguars after five seasons and the signing of Nick Foles.

Sean Mannion, a free agent, spent the past four seasons as a backup with the Rams.

Bortles was the third overall pick in 2014.

Saints Sign Nick Easton To Boost Offensive Line

The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a four-year, $24 million deal with guard/center Nick Easton, according to a source.

The addition came shortly after news broke that Pro Bowl center Max Unger is retiring.

The Saints plan to play Easton at center. He missed all of last season because of surgery to repair a herniated disk in his neck. But he started a total of 17 games at both guard and center for the Minnesota Vikings in 2016 and 2017.

Harris has spent the last six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Over his run with K.C., the tight end had 57 receptions for 605 yards and six touchdowns.

Instead, Perriman will sign a one-year, $4 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to a source.

Nick Foles has agreed to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars on a four-year, $88 million deal with $50.125 million in guaranteed money.

The $50.125 million is the largest amount of guaranteed money in franchise history.

The Jaguars will release Blake Bortles.

Foles opted out of his contract with the Philadelphia Eagles by paying them back $2 million in February.

According to a report, Fowler's salary for 2019 will be $14 million.

The Rams acquired Fowler from the Jacksonville Jaguars at midseason last year. L.A. sent a third-round draft pick in 2019 and a fifth-round selection in 2020 to Jacksonville in the deal.

The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to a multiyear extension with defensive tackle Margus Hunt.

Hunt agreed to a two-year, $9 million deal that could be worth up to $10 million with incentives, according to a source.

He would have become a free agent next week.

"If that kind of offer comes up before free agency, they clearly were trying to keep me here,'' Hunt said. "The offer that was put in place sounded great.

"I didn't want to leave this kind of locker room behind and where it's headed."

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to a three-year, $41.25 million deal with starting left tackle Donovan Smith, according to a source.

The agreement includes $27 million in guaranteed money.

With the extension, the Bucceneers were able to lower Smith's 2019 cap hit from $14.1 million under the franchise tag to $12.5 million. Tampa Bay now has approximately $3.65 million in salary-cap space.
